A visit to Ytterby mine (1 of 4)

Just one year ago, June 2012, I visited to Ytterby mine in Sweden.

I am writing this article while remembering that day.

Every science fan wants to go the place at least once.

I had been staying in Stockholm for business trip several days in that time, the Sunday was the only day off. I had go to Milan next day. It was an opportunity nothing to be rash, and if this day was missed, it was not understood when next I could go.

According to an article of Wikipedia, Ytterby mine had been closed and under management of a company named ASM international. I might not get to the face plate, however, if I missed the opportunity, when next? I would also perform taking a walk in the neighborhood at least.

I asked at the front desk of the Hotel I stayed, a staff answered, "You can take bus. Also boat."
Boat? I wondered. But I chose it because it would be more fun. I reserved my ticket at the tourist center in Stockholm station.

It was Sunday and raining. But I went out.


I heard that the boat would depart from a port near Gamla stan.

Oh, It must be an office of the boat company.

I supposed a small motor boat from the word "boat", but it was a big ship.


I would go to a port named Vaxholm by taking this ship.

I saw some complex geographical feature, which had been deleted by glaciers.
My feeling was just like "Dragon Quest" (a famouse Japanese video game) conjointly with the gloomy weather.


The boat stopped several port until Vaxholm.

It was the time of arraival, but there's no sign about getting to Vaxholm.
The boat might be late, or did I took the wrong route?

I understood later in fact, there were two boats to Vaxholm departing at 9:00, one was direct and the other was indirect. I happened to take indirect one.

It arrived to Vaxholm somehow.
